Why Diamond Willow?
Diamond Willow is a shrub that grows throughout western Canada. It’s not much to look at from the outside and finding this shrub is not easy as it grows in wet, marshy, thorny, and dense areas of the forest and prairie. But, if you are willing to put in the hard work to find it, and are willing to work hard to peel back the layers of bark, an unbelievably beautiful wood emerges. Named for its obvious diamond shape, this willow is highly prized by carvers and wood workers.
